CVHS Announces Summer Concerts at the Gazebo Lineup

gazebo.2017CVHS proudly presents its 2025 Summer Concerts at the Gazebo Lineup.

The concerts will be held at the gazebo at the Conyngham Borough Building, 215 Main Street, Conyngham.

The schedule is as follows:

June 22 at 6 p.m.: Mark and Marty performing 60’s Folk and Rock Music.

July 20 at 6 p.m.: Cindy Gunderman performs music from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s.

August 10 at 6 p.m.: The Two of Us performing Golden Oldies to more recent tunes.

September 7 at 3 p.m. (note change of time): Freeland’s St. Ann’s Band performing a wide variety of music.

Please bring a chair or blanket and relax for an evening of enjoyable entertainment. The borough building will be open for restroom facilities. The concerts are free and open to the public.”

CVHS to Host Mother's Day Tea on May 4

Mothers Day Tea 2025The Conyngham Valley Historical Society would like you to join us for our annual Mother's Day Tea on Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m. at the Conyngham Borough Building, 215 Main Street, Conyngham.

Tickets are $20 each and must be purchased in advance; reservations are limited. Please call 570-582-9028 and leave a message.

Freshly brewed tea and a selection of savories and sweets will be served. There will be a short presentation and door prizes will be awarded.

CVHS to Present Salute to Veterans and the Military on Nov. 16

Veterans Event 2024Please join the CVHS for our ‘Salute to Veterans and the Military’ on Saturday, November 16 at 1 PM at the Conyngham Borough Building 215 Main Street.  

There will be a special program by Valley resident Peter Ferdinand.  His presentation will be a true story of survival, determination and appreciation about the WW II Battle of the Bulge and the Ghost Plane of LaFosse.

There will also be a display of a private WW I collection and light refreshments will be served.  The program is free and open to the public.

Join us for Masquerade in the Cemetery on October 27

Poster.Halloween 2024 webPlease join us on Sunday, October 27 for our annual Halloween Masquerade in the Cemetery, sponsored by the Conyngham Valley Historical Society. 

The event begins at 4 p.m. in the Conyngham Episcopal Cemetery, 215 Main Street. It's free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine! In case of inclement weather, activities will be held indoors at the Borough building.

It won't be too spooky or scary, just good old fashioned Halloween fun, featuring bewitching tails, "masquerade" crafts, painted pumpkins, tricky trays and light refreshments. Bring a blanket or chair for the tales!
